My boyfriend is debating whether to choose a job offer at the Marriott, or the Hyatt. If he chose Hyatt, do they allow domestic partners to use their free comp rooms (after 1 yr) if the employee is not with them? I've read that besides the comp rooms, you can also pay for discount rooms- can domestic partners use those as well if the employee is not there? And, are those discounted rates available right away-or is there a waiting period? Thank you for your help.

A bit OT: With the change in the law, I've read that some employers have done away with the distinction of domestic partners.

I'm confused... Do you know what Hyatt's policy is? I'm looking for help on if only the employee can use the rate or is it available to his immediate family.

    Maybe ask Hyatt?

That's what I'm trying to do...contact a Hyatt employee. Hyatt corporate will not directly answer these types of questions... They are very tight-lipped about it- but thank you.

The company will not answer a direct question about the validity of benefits posed by a potential future employee?? I find that hard to believe.

This is the boyfriend asking the question, to HR.

Not the one who is seeking employment,

I do not find it hard to belive the question not being answered ....

I bet if this gets back to the top, it will be a never need to be answered..

If your boyfriend has a firm job OFFER (not just an application for employment, an interview, etc.), then he should ask Hyatt this question.
