    Greetings, MilePoint members,

Today you’re in luck as the unprecedented relationship between Hyatt and MGM Resorts International® has launched! Hyatt Gold Passport members now have the opportunity to earn and redeem Hyatt Gold Passport points at 12 iconic M life resorts on The Las Vegas Strip – from the MGM Grand® and Mandalay Bay® to the Mirage® and Bellagio®. All eligible nights and stays at these resorts will count toward Hyatt Gold Passport tier status. And, each of the 12 participating resorts is now available for reservations and award night bookings through hyatt.com and our Hyatt Worldwide Reservation Centers.

And your luck continues this August when Hyatt Gold Passport members can enjoy unique benefits like pre-sale access to premier entertainment, exclusive M life Moments experiences and more when opting in for a matched tier status in M life.

Are you ALL IN? For details and answers to frequently asked questions, visit hyatt.com/mlife.

How do you get the matched tier status in M-Life? Is his for M life matching out to GP, or can GP elites get a elite tier in M life?

Edit just looked, this is pretty nice:

    Hyatt Plat = Mlife Gold
    Hyatt Diamond = Mlife Plat

Finally this year--- a loyalty program that's increasing benefits instead of taking them away!

Will MGM properties paid for with SPG Business get 5% open discount?

As the charges do not process as Hyatt, they should not receive a rebate from American Express OPEN

So now that's it's August.... When will the match process be available?

Of course I'll be in LAS Sunday-Tuesday, but doubt the process will be online by then :(

I'm there 8/9-8/11. Very interested as well.

On a side note ... anyone have a clue if amex OPEN discount will apply at MGM properties?

I know in the past, mlife IT has been pretty bad and they only give cards when visiting the casino.

Will there be a way to get the status matched before arriving in Vegas?

I'm curious about the length of the status match though... if you're Hyatt Platinum and get matched to MLife Gold, would this be only until your Platinum status expires? Will you get automatically extended once you requalify or soft-land to a lower tier?

There are a lot of questions about this portion of the joint venture, and I'm wondering if they've been sorted out already.

I believe if you bring your diamond card to an mlife booth they'll match you over. No way to do this in advance at the moment though.

    That's what I thought. Thanks.

So far I can only compare how it works with Royal Caribbean to mlife. When you comp over, your mlife is valid rest of that year and all the next year (their calendar is Oct 1 to Sept 30). No grace period of a couple months beyond with mlife though. As I say though, this is how it works with RCCL. Hyatt may turn out to be different, although I doubt it.

Dumb question of the day: Do the Mandarin Oriental and SkyLofts count? They're not listed individually, but they are "attached" to other Mlife properties.

Of course, since I would be using those for part of my challenge and we don't even know if they'll count as stays, it may all be moot.

    Thanks,
    Mike

They are not part of the partnership so you shouldn't expect any stay credit, etc.

Checked in to the Mirage last night and was informed that the Hyatt-Mlife partnership has been postponed until the 20th of August. Anyone else heard this.

The status matches aren't supposed to happen until late August, but I know you can earn and redeem at MGM properties like they're part of the Hyatt family right now. First-hand knowledge on booking and earning.

So aside from going to Mlife booth, do I need to do anything else since I'm there now?

To earn Hyatt Gold Passport points for your stay you need to make sure your reservation has BOTH your M Life and Gold Passport numbers attached.

Will there be a questions thread for the live chat? Or should we put things here? Have a sales meeting during the chat so will miss it.
