Human Recognition Systems (HRS) has announced it successfully demonstrated a new mobile app, using biometrics to personalize the travel experience for passengers at Gatwick Airport.
According to the company, the concept behind the trial simulation was to illustrate the “art of the possible” in terms of enhancing and quite importantly personalizing each passenger’s journey through the airport.

In order to showcase this, HRS developed a Gatwick Airport mobile app, which in turn, acted as the passenger’s constant source of information and guide through the airport.

The unique passenger tailored experience began as they were biometrically identified at the car park barrier. After that point, the app notified the passenger of relevant journey details. This process of feeding the passenger personalized information, ranging from the correct check-in desk to custom generated and customer specific retail offers, continued once within the proximity of selected airport waypoints.
