how can anybody get miles sitting at home??
Welcome to MP!
It depends on the program and where you live...provide some additional details and we can point you in the right direction.
You will probably find it helpful to first do a bit of research to familiarize yourself with the many opportunities and the terminology. A good place to start might be the appropriately named Newbies Forum right here on Milepoint: http://milepoint.com/forums/forums/newbies/
Alternatively (or in additon), decide which airlines/hotels you want to stay and, then go their web page and look for a section marked ways to get miles.
Go to my website below and read all of its pages - takes a few hours. Then you will know pretty much everything that is available. Then subscribe to the service that sends you an email whenever I post something new on my What's New page.
You start by following this and the Boarding Area website in addition to the above mentioned Gary's website. Other websites are worthy of mention are:
The Points Guy
Million Mile Secrets
The Travel Abstract
... and others. All these websites offer a timely stream of offers of how to get miles/points while sitting at home.
The easiest way to accrue a significant stash of miles without flying is to apply for credit cards with large mileage bonuses. Good Luck!
