Once again, PAX don't put up with anything and deal with the problems themselves.
I read from other sources the guy was drunk and was unruly. It might be funny to see the guy taped up like that....but truth is, if the guy hurled, he could have choked on his own vomit.
"He drank an entire bottle of some duty free alcohol. Then he tried grabbing the women who were sitting next him screaming that we're going to crash,” Mezane wrote. “Finally he started chocking [sic] a guy next to him and that's when a huge crowd restrained him and tied him up. This was 2 hours into a 6 hour flight.”
More than unruly, it seems to me. And if he had passed out drunk in his own bed, he might have choked on his own vomit, too. But note that the Iceland Air statement said that he was monitored for his own safety after he was taped to the seat. What would the alternative have been? Let him scream and yell for four more hours?
