You can not book on ITA as it is an information only site. I normally go to the airline's website to book once I find a flight on ITA.

ok..so I go onto the airline website. when I do that the fare changes from what the matrix says. I am trying to go to abq to ewr, the matrix has me going to dfw as a stop. I plug it into aa and it is a 30.00 difference

Hmm, have you tried a third party site like Expedia, Orbitz or Priceline?

I have the best luck matching ITA fares if I use the "Multi-city" option. Enter each leg that you want (ABQ-DFW, DFW-PHL) and see if you can find it that way.

I would not use Priceline to book a flight and I am the Priceline Queen. The reason is that they could put you on a very undesirable routing like a redeye with stopovers that could take you all day to get to your destination.
