We had 11, but gave two to twin granddaughters.
Zero. I've never managed to get any.
A number - just Conrad Hong Kong has provided me with the Toolbelt Construction bear, the Chinese New Year's bear, the Christmas bear and the standard issue bear - I did not purchase the wedding pair bears, and I don't know how many Conrad HKG rubber duckies I have because they are, unfortunately, anonymous (unmarked) and the Conrad Tokyo King Swan rubber duckie. And we must mention some of the alternatives (the "etc.") - the Bali Conrad monkeys, the Conrad Bangkok elephants... the Conrad Istanbul bear in a Turkish fez and vest, and the Hilton Wangfujing panda.
The loneliest duck of all - the tiny "Hilton Brussels" duck, especially now that there is no such hotel.
I have three in all, two from hotels and one from the FCT .... I feel very deprived in relation to some of my friends who have entire collections! I need to make the Conrad rounds somehow while still a Diamond!
I have the current set of four different Conrad Bangkok (silk/cotton) elephants, from my last four stays. So what will I receive on my next visit, I wonder. Could someone please enlighten me? These are serious issues!
I have 0.
All ducks have been donated to my cool little nephew.
(No ducks were harmed in the making of this email.)
I have 5 rubber elephants, 9 large rubber ducks, 5 small rubber ducks, a stuffed monkey, 7 stuffed elephants, 11 large stuffed bears, and 2 small stuffed bears, but who's counting?
You'll start collecting duplicates, or at least that's what's happened to me.
0. Leave them when offered. I don't have any place to put the darn things and no current children I like enough to give them to.
The only rubber duckies I own are from the First Class Terminal.
0 for me too. I have never seen any rubber ducks or stuffed animals at Conrad Chicago. Perhaps, one must ask but it's not a collector's item for me. I always leave them behind when at Conrad Hong Kong.
I'm pretty sure that my kids are sleeping on the floor because their cribs are so full of Conrads.
Maybe we could set up a trading forum.
We have a couple of bears from Conrad Tokyo. We have a Christmas bear from Conrad Dublin, it is actually green! Of course, there are a few more ducks from Conrad, including King Duck from Conrad Tokyo.
Hoping to have a few more, as we are planning to stay in Conrad Hong Kong and Conrad Bali this year, both have unique animals.
Is there something special involved in getting these or is it only certain properties? I've stayed at quite a few Hiltons WW as a Diamond and have never come across a duck in the room.
I've gotten a few Hilton ducks. They are small and white. Weird. Once I saw these Nativity Rubber Duckies
I figured it was all over for the trendy.
have 1 in a storage bin for my daughters daughter the next time they visit
Lost track since I usually give (most of them) away. Did get eight bears, two for each day of our stay last time at the Conrad Tokyo plus two rubber ducks one each on our two last stays.
My prized stuffed Conrad animals, four plush manatees from the Conrad Miami
I think this thread is in the vein, "if you have to ask..." I am domestic US and seem to miss out on locales, high end Hilton properties AND special gifts. It should have been part of "Up in the Air" when Clooney was bragging. Would have humanized him more.
Most international Conrad hotels have an animal, about half of them are bears. I don't believe Chicago one has one, not sure about Indianapolis. I have not run into these animals at high end Hilton properties, but some people had positive experiences in getting specific toys at a Hilton and not a Conrad. It is definitely a weird sub-culture out there for these toys.
14 ducks, 5 bears, and 2 elephants and no way are they leaving my possession!
My 5 year old daughter has told me she doesn't want any more of them.
All the more for you then
What are these ducks, bears, etc? I've never heard of this.
Stay in a "high end" property and look carefully ... you'll recognize you're not alone
Conrad Brussels: none - but there's a shop down in the ground floor that sells them.
