I've been waitlisted for an upgrade on an intra-european flight somwhere in June. Currently the C seems to be empty with no other seat reservations, C9 D9 ZL in the CRS. How long does it take to get the I-class confirmed as a SEN?

From 2min to never. Everything is possible. But most likely it will be within an hour today.

Mine usually clear instantly, or at most within a day.

So, what shall one do if the agent didn't knows what to type?
And what has he/she have to enter?

    Mine usually clear instantly.
On rare occasion it can take weeks though.
Be aware that the upgrade request list gets deleted once the flight goes into airport control at the T-24h point.
You then need to request again!

It must be some internal command. I've looked up the booking in my Amadeus CRS, seems nothing special in there.

HON helpdesk agents told me waitlists for F awards (and probably other awards) cleared were cancelled automatically after one week. Not that I trust anything some of them tell me... :(

Hmm... one week before departure, or after one week?

My experience with waitlist to upgrade C>O is that it either clears instantly or around T-7. If it doesn't clear at T-7 I have to request again at the airport on checkin.

Sorry, an inappropriate use of the word "cleared"!

What I should have said was a waitlist request was automatically cancelled after one week and a new request would have to be made.

I really hope this is not the case. If an upgrade is waitlisted three weeks in advance of a flight, would this mean having to re-request every 7 days?

That's why I said "Not that I trust anything some of them tell me..." but I was told this by more than one agent when calling the UK as well as German hotline numbers. I was waitlisted for F awards, not for upgrades.

Hmm.. Don't know about awards- presumably as they are looking for the same class of space as upgrades though- this is not a great development.
