How does one Earn enough pts for Upgrade ? Seems like a Lifetime event!

As a retiree it's going to take me another 50 years to get from the back of the plane to the front.

I know if one is lucky enough to have $$, work for a travel company, etc you have it made.

    Points come in very slowly.

But how about the rest of us (99%) who DO NOT have a chance to experience this leg-room feeling?

Best Regards & happy traveling when you can afford it!

You can rack up plenty of points/miles via promos, contests and churning credit cards. Some of the lucrative opportunities are not there anymore, but you can still manage to work the system and get some good balances without having to have your butt in a seat for a million hours a year.

Even if you don't plan to stay in hotels for 100 nights a year, you can easily take advantage of promos that would give you extra points for stays, or "stay x nights and get y nights free" or something to that effect.

And at times you might have to bite the bullet... a few good mileage runs can bulk up your balances and/or get your status up, so that is always something to keep an eye out for.

credit cards, shopping malls, dining, promotions, mileage running, etc. are all cost-effective ways to build up mileage accounts.

Stick around, read up, and you'll be up front in no time!

Credit Card use, sound like the 'key' for you. Every day stuff can go on the cards. Cablevision, Disnetwork, both take CC, with no fees, as does cell phone airtime usage. Gasoline stations, grocery stores, bars, restaurants, those hotel stays, and there are more. Stick around here, and you'll see, and catch the bug pretty easily.
