I just saw a post that milepoints members can use GOGO wifi for free on select United and AA flights.

I am new here. How do I get a password and/or login to use the service on board? I am registered on this site.

Is this also offered on international flights originating or travelling to the US?

Is there a way to find out in advance if the flights I am booking have GoGo?

Would appreciate a reply asap, as I am leaving for 30 days on May 13.

    Thanks.

Figuring out if the flights have it depends on the airline you are flying on. Currently the gogo service only works over land in North America, so some trans-border Canadian flights can support it but other international destinations won't.

As for connecting to the service, I believe you just choose the gogo wifi network and then open the milepoint.com page and it works.

You connect to Gogo, go to milepoint.com, thats it.

Please note that only milepoint.com is free to surf with gogo

    Cheers

I am not sure what you mean by "that only milepoint.com is free to surf with gogo".

I can only view the milepoint page, and can't use wifi to access the internet?

I'm flying internationally on AA, United, Turkish Airlines, BA and Royal Air Maroc.

How do I find out if my flights will have gogo?

I believe the misunderstanding is in the usage of the Gogo service. Milepoint.com is free for use to ANYONE using Gogo. If you want to surf to any other sites, you've got to pay up.

As for how to find if your flights have Gogo, I'll let someone with better knowledge of that chime in.

BTW... a belated "welcome" to Milepoint.

Since early April. And on all Gogo equipped flights (domestic US and Alaska), not just AA and UA. I think there's about 1,500 planes with it on Air Canada, AirTran, Alaska, American, Delta, Frontier, United, US Airways and Virgin America. I've used it about a dozen times so far and love it ... passes the flight time away easier.

I'm glad to hear that we can access MP for free on DL flights with GoGo after all; I panicked a bit when I saw the assertion that it was UA and AA only.

IIRC when one uses GoGo on DL, there's an icon on the login page that allows you to go directly to amazon.com for free, but for free access to delta.com, you just open that page.

Of those only the AA and UA flights have a chance. On UA you will only have gogo on the JFK-SFO.LAX routes. On AA there are more planes configured but they aren't on specific routes. What is the aircraft type and route for the AA flight(s)? That might help narrow it down.

I am getting Gogo on about 90% of my AA flights - which are mostly MD80s and 738s.

It's a three month trial, but we all hope they make it permanent!

Ditto. There was a captcha but the page loaded right up. Decent performance, too, though the FaceBook connect bit slows things down a bit.

So...a little bit late to this discussion, but does anyone have a GOGO promo code they aren't using. As well, when I try to pay, there is no line for a promo code. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
