    One of things I like about SPG is how quickly stays, nights and points normally post. It might be the fact that they are considerably smaller than other programs but normally within 24 hours after check-out my account is updated. On the other hand even though the China resident promotion ended 8 days ago it is still on their official website. Of course when you click on it it says all good things come to an end. Sometimes ahead of the pack sometimes behind...

    I don't think it's because they're smaller... I think it's because they have much better back-end IT systems to process this, and that providing/using this information is core to their business.

    Agreed. Also, it depends on property.

    again, less than 24 hours after check-out and the promo points 48 hours after check out.

    Shangri-La Golden = at least 5 days

    Marriott = 4 days

    Hilton = 4 days

    IHG = 4 days
