Any new news? I understand that most of the flights are ex-JFK? I'm still hoping that I hit the jackpot on 3/13 SEA-FRA!

Before you get too excited, I have yet to see a plane with Flynet, and I have been transatlantic (Europe-Americas) 7 legs already this year- the most recent flight yesterday.... so far it seems to be a bit like finding the unicorn. Will be fun when it comes however!

You can find out where the aircraft with FlyNet2 installed have been flying to by checking this site:

    http://data.flight24.com/airplanes/d-aikf/

The FRA-based A330 aircraft with FlyNet are currently:

    D-AIKF, D-AIKN (2 out of 9 FRA-based A330s)

Just edit the URL above to reflect the registration you want to check.

Of the MUC-based aircraft, two out of three have been refitted. (D-AIKL, D-AIKO yes; D-AIKA no)

Same thing for the three DUS-based aircraft. (D-AIKK, D-AIKM yes; D-AIKG no)

There are two that have been refitted: D-ABVA and D-ABVK.

But I initially only checked A330s since that's the type LH uses on FRA-SEA-FRA.

I had it on the aircraft "Witten" from JFK-FRA in December. Now I believe there's some 343's and 346's with it as well.

    €20 for 24hours isn't too bad.
Cheaper than some stupid hotels ....

Cheaper than what FlyNet Mark 1 used to be. But the question is when will it be available on trans-Siberian routes.

Sort of. The one at MUC Spotter Forum references klarhorst.com and was last updated on January 31st. I am guessing klarhorst.com list has been updated since then and the guys at the forum hadn't noticed.

But the list differs on some other points too, like the number of FlyNet equipped aircraft at DUS, for example. Very odd.

The MUC forum list doesn't display well with Firefox.

I think there's been a modification on the DUS recently. Around A month ago I thought I saw 2 of the 333's with flynet out of DUS.

Right, and MUC Spotter Forum's thread also states 2 Flynet-equipped A333s at DUS. klarhorst.com says one. That's what I was referring to above.

Riding one of the Flynet enabled A333s right now for LH491 SEA-FRA. From what I can tell it doesn't do this route very much so we're pretty lucky today. Download speed are consistently around 2.8 Mbps while upload speeds are about 0.20 Mbps. I was able to upload a bunch of pictures to flickr.com relatively quickly and it's been doing fine surfing and running twitter. Considering I can't sleep since it's about 30C in the cabin, it's 20 Euros well spent.

I really fail to understand why LH has migrated to these hotter temperatures during flight! [IMG]

So much easier to sleep when cooler/cold!
