Flight prices and overnight rates in hotels are definitively on the up, firstly because of demand and secondly the supply cannot keep up after dramatic consolidations and capacity cuts in both industries, in every direction we look at, prices will eventually go up and grow further until people / businesses reign in their spending again because of too high prices / rates charged and this seems to be the the only way to find a balanced environment at this very moment in time. Demand and supply rules and will be unpredictable for now.

The economic news seems to be looking bad again. Airlines have cut capacity but hotels haven't/can't, so we'll see what happens to hotel rates. I'm not convinced that these increases are sustainable.
