    Hi all-

Have a trip to France and we have an 8 AM flight home. Prefer to spend last night at airport. It seems most hotels with shuttles have a 6 AM start time for the shuttle - a tad late for me to be at the airport.

Anyone know of a decent hotel actually in the airport? Our first leg will be Lufthansa from CDG to FRA so that may help in terms of what terminal we will be leaving from. We'll be staying at some great hotels but for this last night, convenience means the most to me.

    Many thanks for any feedback.

My last LH arrival into CDG was terminal 1. Unfortunately there isn't anything you can just walk to. Sheraton is probably the best option since there's a train between T2 and T1 that runs reasonably frequently (if you depart out of T2, then Sheraton is just a short walk).

With your requirements in mind, we would recommend the Sheraton CDG or the Hilton CDG.

^ View into the Atrium @ the Hilton CDG / To get to the hotel you may also take the "CDGVAL", every 4 minutes, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (free of charge) and alight at Terminal 3, Roissypole. The hotel is situated about 100 meters from the exit of the station.

From T3: walk to the hotel (5 minutes).

Same location at the Hilton CDG, but more affordable is the Novotel CDG:

Equally located as the Hilton and Novotel, the even more affordable Ibis CDG, just behind the CDGVale train station / free train every 4 minutes /: [ see Hilton above ]:

There's also a Pullman Hotel CDG which is accessible on the same CDGVal free train from the terminals at a stop or so earlier:

Line CDG VAL, Station PARK PR

Whatever you decide, safe travels! :)

Thanks everyone. Made a Cash and Points reservation at the Sheraton - gives me stay credit in my never-ending quest to maintain Starwood Platinum so that is no small thing. Missed out on Novotel Platinum and once you're registered, it's a done deal.

    Thanks again.

Note that the Sheraton is in Terminal 2, which is largely AF and SkyTeam territory. Most other flights, IIRC including LH, UA, etc. use Terminal 1, on the other side of the hotel cluster at the RER station accessed by CDGVal. (BTW, most budget carriers use Terminal 2). The Sheraton loses many of its advantages if your flights do not use Terminal 2. In that case, its price difference probably isn't worth it compared to various nearby choices.

ADDED. There's a review/master thread devoted to ths CDG Sheraton in the Starwood/SPG forum on MP. There's also a similar thread, started earlier, in the Starwood forum on FT.

Thanks for that. If that's the case, and if shuttles don't begin until 6 AM, and if my flight is at 8 AM - well, what do people do? Limo? Taxi? Seems it must be a common problem.

Is the Novotel better for Terminal 1?

    http://www.novotel.com/gb/hotel-1014-novotel-paris-cdg-terminal/index.shtml

The Novotel isn't dependent upon a shuttle service between the Terminals @ CDG as the CDGVal train goes every 4 minutes, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (free of charge) and alight at Terminal 3, Roissypole. The train connects T1 and T2.

As mentioned above the Hilton and the Ibis have the same "connection" advantage, they enjoy nearly the same location at T3 Roissypole station. No need for any shuttles from this hotels to T1 or T2, simply take the free of charge CDGVal train.

The Ibis is the cheapest option, followed by the Novotel and the more expensive Hilton. The Pullman can be accessed with the same CDGVal train at the Park PR stop.

I believe the Sofitel in the blueprint next to the car park is now a Pullman
