The Hotel Bel-Air might be considered to be an old establishment dating back to 1946, but that doesn’t mean that the hotel hasn’t caught up with the times. In fact the hotel recently reopened its doors to the public with its newly designed rooms that comes with a hint of moderntechnology. Yup, it seems that according to USA Today, rooms in the Hotel Bel-Air have replaced their telephones with iPads so guests will no longer have to flip through a book in order to request for information, order room service, etc.

The hotel had initially hoped to reach a goal of 50% of orders being placed via the iPad, but it seems that guests were more taken with the technology than they had anticipated, and has since reported that 75% of their guests are ordering room service via the iPad. This has also helped with the kitchen’s efficiency since guests usually place orders in advance, thus allowing the kitchens to run more smoothly.
