So out of curiosity I looked to see how many miles it would cost me to fly Hong Kong-Bangkok in Emirates 1st with skyrwards miles. My though is that this might be the easiest way to check off a bucket list item of flying an Emirates a380 first class.
Per the miles calculator on Emirates' website, it says one way miles award resumptions are no bookable. Only 60,000 skywards miles for roundtrip.
But then why I try to make a dummy award booking, it shows me that I can fly EK 385 on July 24th 2014 for 37,500 skywards miles and $46.55 in taxes and fuel surcharges.
So is this actually possible? Or will it eventually not let me do this? I cant go further because I am new to the program and don't have any miles.
