How do i read this? E zone is only from JP to US? What about other zones that seem to remain unaffected?
JAL STILL hasn't released their April fares
Why LAX? JFK is better
OMG. They released the USD amount. It jumps from USD111 to USD202 one way Is this one of the highest I have seen so far? (thanks to the exchange rate)
It's graveyard robbery.
Whilst everyone is clapping at the Middle East unrest, 1) we have no clue how it will all wind up, and 2) the uncertainty and speculation is causing fuel prices to go ever higher. JL is most likely to be in a lot of company with higher fares and fuel charges soon, IMO. Buy now.
And redeem now too. Even with AA miles! In case AA starts charging you fuel surcharge on JL tickets like they did with BA's
Excellent point, thanks! I have a friend out there with my promise for a return to the USA with AA miles who will hopefully take my clue to book sooner, rather than later.
So any flights to US and Europe you will be looking at any increase of 10 k yen or so? Double? Is that right?
Increase by ~USD200 for r/t ticket.
It's no small amount but I think I'll be ticketing in May so guess I shall have to live with it. Have you booked all your flights for the year to avoid this hike?
Nope. Only planning to ticket the June trip before April 1. Dec one I am holding off. Worst case (hopefully), I just skip Hokkai-DO to save some money
Just changed an award from March to May. I needed to pay an additional $78 in YQ.
You issued the award long time ago, before the last time they raised the surcharge?
Glad I already bought and paid for my trip in April.
Hey, if I buy a tix now for an August flight, can I lock in the lower fuel rate?
Yes as long as you don't change your ticket after April 1. Otherwise you will have to pay for the difference (subject to local regulations and rules)
Okay. Thanks for the heads-up!
Include charges at other regions. HKG's surcharge has increased on March 1 2011 apparently
Just a reminder, only 20 days left to issue your ticket to avoid the YQ increase. Even JTB USA has a banner on their home page
