Japan's transport ministry (MLIT) is planning to double the number of fixed gates to approximately 20 at Haneda's international terminal in a new addition to the north end of the building to accommodate an expected 90,000 total aircraft movements by 2013. They plan to begin construction this year, with the cost anticipated to be around 100 billion JPY.
