Hilton Hotels & Resorts debuts another property at Heathrow:)

Hilton Hotels & Resorts has opened the Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5, its second property at LHR. The new 350-guestroom airport hotel features a restaurant by celebrity chef Cyrus Todiwala OBE.

The restaurant is the chef’s first outside of central London, where he runs Café Spice Namaste, The Parsee and Café T. Mr. Todiwala’s Kitchen, his restaurant in the airport hotel, serves pan Indian cuisine and has a chef’s table where patrons can try tasting menus and watch the chef at work.

I recall reading that Heathrow does not allow hotel courtesy shuttles to run to / from the airport. I don't know if this is true, but I do know that of the several hotels I have stayed at around Heathrow, none offered a free shuttle.

Why all the HOPPA hate? Traveling solo I found it to be okay (though I would agree if 2 or more are traveling, a taxi is the better way to go.)

Well, first of all I hate the name Hoppa. Secondly, I hate the cost.

It's true hotel shuttles are not allowed at Heathrow, which is why they have compromised with the Free Zone around the airport hotels. Go to Central Bus Station at LHR and take regular city bus to and from your hotel for free.

Or be a sucker and take the Hoppa.
