I thought I would launch the Hilton HHonors forum with the first thread, which is bound to one day be more and more popular as information is added.

As one who has learned a lot from FF'rs all over, I hope to be able to give something back here!

Is the MVP fast-track a once-in-a-lifetime offer, or can I sign up for it again even though I already fast-tracked a couple years ago? (I actually don't recall if I used the MVP fast-track back then or one offered through my employer)

I believe that it can be signed up for again ... but only if you are Blue/no status. A few people I know have taken advantage of it a couple of times. Now if it was only so easy to make Diamond!

Another method is to sign-up for the Amex Surpass card.

The fee-free one gives you gold after spending 20k. The annual fee one comps you gold the first year, then you have to charge 20k for gold in following years. You can also spend 40k and get diamond status.

So if you have either of the HHonors cards (AMEX or Citi) you aren't eligible for the promotion, since you're automatically Silver if you hold those cards?

That's my understanding ... but it's worth asking the question. When I 'took the challenge' to fast track to gold, I asked HH if they'd consider letting me have the status before I completed the requisite number of nights - which were booked I hasten to add (some even PIA!) and they agreed ... which I understand is not usual. So ... I'd certainly be emailing them at least ... and persisting!
