Hilton considers selling Waldorf Astoria Hotel
Never knew the WA NY had 1232 rooms
Can the title be edited to reflect this is about the Waldorf=Astoria New York property, not the entire brand.
It will be sad if they transform it into a residential, office and retail place..
So if they sell off their flagship hotel, bearing the name of their luxury brand, I wonder what HHonors would rename the brand to.
Could this now be the largest Motel 6 in the world?
I think Hilton will certainly keep ownership of the Waldorf Astoria brand, even if they sell all or a portion of this property.
Given the significant ballroom and meeting space, they cannot lose too many hotel rooms before it weakens the meetings/events business.
I wonder what it means that they might reposition it.
