The sign-up bonus offer has been at 25,000 miles since I started tracking it about 4 months ago. Does anyone know if they have ever increased in the past? Is there any reason why I shouldn't sign up now, or might I regret it 6 months down the road?

No reason you can't get it now and churn it 90 days from now. Maybe you will get lucky and the bonus will increase. Hard to predict what will happen but don't worry about it too much.

Things will work out for you. Just keeping watching.

But the card has a fee (not waived). So, multiple cards may not work for everybody

Do you need to cancel the card first before applying for another one?

The only reason not to get it now is if you don't value 25k Alaskan Airlines miles to be worth the annual fee ($75) or you don't want to waste the pull (Experian for me). Other than that, seeing that it is churnable, you might as well go for it. I got the 40k also last year, but can't hurt to add to your Alaskan Airlines balance.

A churnable card means you have obtained the card and mileagoe or points bonus in the past and you can successfully apply for the same card and receive another mileage or points bonus.

I've churned the Alaska card as well, though only once, but plan to continue doing so. Miles of AS are totally under appreciated for how versatile they are.

The only thing is Bank of America SUCKS (IMO) I'd prefer not to give them any of my business due to past sour relations I've had and who needs to support a greedy large bank/company? Too bad. Alaska is a great independent airline, but they chose to partner with a crap bank.

You will not be supporting a large greedy bank but hurting them by getting a card from them and not using it too much. They have to pay for the miles that they will award you. So, I would go for it, if nothing else, just to get even. ;)

I saw some chatter about the current offer being 35K. Has anyone actually seen it? Link?

Just picked up the 30k w/first use AS card. I read through that post first. Very helpful!

Any current higher sign-up offers than the 25k + $100 credit that seems to be the only one that still works from Gary's July blog post?

I agree with everyone else on here so far. It is very churn-able. I've gotten 3 of these in the last 10 or so months.
