Hilton just posted their newest list of hotels category changes that will be either be increasing in redemption or decreasing starting on July 9, 2014. Here’s a quick highlight of some the hotels that are changing.

Some Hotels Increasing in Category include:

Some Hotels Decreasing in Category include:

The Waldorf Astoria Panama is now a Category 5

The DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Omaha is now a Category 4

    Bottom Line

You can view the full list of hotels that are changing. These changes don’t go into effect until July 9, 2014, so if you are thinking about booking a stay at a property that will be increasing in category, be sure to book before then so you can get it at the cheaper level.

As a reminder, the Citi Hilton HHonors Reserve Card offers two free weekend nights at most Hilton properties after spending $2,500 within the first four months on the card, so this is a great way to stay at some luxury Hilton properties including their Waldorf Astoria properties without using your points.
