My first Avatar Selection Poll went well, and Mirth Closeup was the winner. I appreciate everyone who participated.

    Mirth Closeup

I promised to keep him for 40 days and 40 nights, and we reached that date this past week. Time to consider a change.

Once again I'll run the poll for 5 days, and whichever one wins I'll keep for at least 40 days and 40 nights. I've brought back the top four runners up from last time, along with six new selections. You can vote for multiple choices, but once you've voted you can't come back and change it. Feel free to campaign for your favorite choice. Bribes, er, I mean campaign contributions, are cheerfully accepted. :p

I'm so sad that Summer didn't make the cut. He'd be perfect at this time of year.

When you first vote, you can check multiple boxes. One person voted for all ten last time. :D

BTW, for those who might not know why my handle is "Gargoyle", all these avatar photos are of stone pieces that I carved. Well, the mirth photo is of a resin cast of one of my stone pieces; I sell the inexpensive cast reproductions of a few of my pieces through my site. The other photos are all shots of the originals.

Having just come from Applebees, and eaten one of their bacon cheddar burgers, I felt compelled to go for the burger eater ;)

(Shouldn't there be one drinking beer, etc?)

You know, I checked out the site a few weeks ago and your work is just incredible! Would love to order one of the resin cast pieces but can you ship them to Canada?

Certainly, I've shipped quite a number to Canada. Unfortunately, shipping costs are very high (e-mail me which piece and I'll check the cost), plus you get hit with GST or some other import tax; end result is the shipping and tax usually double the cost of the piece.

Yes, there will be GST, duty and shipping. Thanks, will look closer at the pieces and e-mail you soon!

The election is coming down to the wire- don't miss you chance to vote.

Voters don't win any valuable prizes, you don't get fame or fortune, it won't change your tax bracket, so it's pure altruism. Demonstrate your altruism and you might inspire me to sign up for Kiva today!

I voted early. I wish I could have voted often even if my buddy Summer is missing from the ballot.
