    7/17 Eco -> Depart
    7/23 Eco -> Return

    That's both available on united. Which means theorectically you should be able to book via US Air and/or United. The UA + UR would be enough

    You should be able to transfer 20K SPG pts to USair for 25K USair miles (with the 5K bonus SPG offers).

    Possible, but may not be likely. You have to check for availability on both airlines' websites.

    I just tried it and found availability on US and on UA:
    DCA-PHX-LIH 7/16
    LIH_PHX-DCA (leave LIH 7/22 on redeye, arrive DCA on 7/23)
    the flights are on US metal.
    I have no way of knowing if you book one seat, will there still be a second seat available?
    Also, I don't know how long it takes to transfer UR points to UA miles, but the above itinerary is available right now for 70K US and 80K UA

    Am I missing something? He has 75k US miles, 36k UA miles, and 76k UR points which transfer to UA.

    You could use ANA's search engine to look for two award seats on a UA flight. Whatever flights show available will have two award seats open. Then you know you can book one with US and one with UA.

    Wonderful!
    I am SO sorry about your hardship. :p After all, I will be stuck on Kauai for 15 days in just a few weeks. What's a fellow to do? :D
    solrebel, you can "pay" me for my services, by posting a few pictures in our Kauai thread:

    ;)
    By the way, after I made my post I answered my own question (I have no way of knowing if you book one seat, will there still be a second seat available?) by realizing that I could have searched for 2 seats (instead of 1) and had the answer.
    Glad we're all going to Kauai in style. 1thumbs-up.gif
