About 15 hours before the HeathrowGuy MD-80 ExtrAAvanganza on American Airlines, Inc. (Debtor-in-Possession) gets underway. Award seats didn't open on a useful DFW-DCA nonstop, so it's F JAX-DFW-STL-DCA. Breakfast served JAX-DFW (with a seemingly empty F cabin, only 3 seats taken so far), beverages DFW-STL (this means bubbly for me), and lunch STL-DCA (also with bubbly).

Six members of MP have PM'd me to remind me that there is no sex in the Champagne Room or while flying American Airlines, Inc. (Debtor-in-Possession), and I appreciate your vigilance. The T-tailed chariots await!

One issue AA needs to fix -- the website is misleading as to the ability to make same day changes or go standby on First Class MileSAAver awards. Multiple agents told me INP to do a confirmed change to $50 to route JAX-DFW-DCA instead.

She is going to be fine. She will get into a great school and probably do well wherever she attends.

Some of us - (speaking of myself) refuse to set foot on any American Airlines airplane, much less an MD-80.

In fact, I gave away all my AA miles and asked AAdvantage to close my account. Alas, you can open an account, but once you do, its never closed.

    Brave guy.

The word Purdue got my attention. I went there for a few years until I had to transfer, I hope that student has the finances to pay off the out-of-state tuition

Just boarded 1st Mad Dog of the day, JAX-DFW. Got 5E. Flight about 2/3rds full in F, seems about the same in Y. FA offered choice of water or OJ as the PDB.

See, I've never really minded the Mad Dog. It's pretty quiet in the first class cabin, and a fairly smooth ride overall. Oh, and it has more first class seats than UA's 320s and TWICE as many F seats as their 319s.

We're beginning initial descent into DFW. Service on JAX was excellent, felt like longhaul-style service, with post-service sipping water bottle and all.

Only very minor downsides are what the heck was the "cheese" in the omelet, and that I drank out the bubbly supply on the flight. :)

Next time you are giving away AA miles, can you send them my way? Please? And BTW, we appreciate selecting another airline, more seats for me!

Made a quick dash to the United Club in Terminal E, and then on to Terminal A for my flight to St. Louis. Sitting in 3E.

I'm actually on a MD flight right now ORD-LGA, AA382 descending in as we speak. Superior comfort in First.

I guess there's no breakfast on a 955AM flight. Nuts and chocolate chip cookies at this hour??

It's published as a refreshment flight, so what you received is no surprised. The 8:30am flight servies a continental breakfast, and the 10:55am flight servies lunch.

Thus one might wonder why you are reading the AA forum of MP, much less posting in same.

    Bored, guy?

BTW, bonus points to the FA in F on DFW-STL. She asked me why I was flying today.

I'm here to pray for HeathrowGuy . LOL

My ban no longer applies to AA terminals. Qatar's JFK-DOH flight leaves from Terminal 8, sadly. At least I can hide at the flagship lounge (you're allowed in as long as you are a Qatar Airways J class pax).

I've done that myself a few times. They generally only cater 3 splits on those shorter flights. Sometimes, it's good for me they run out, others not so much. It's not the best bubbly in the world, but it beats the stuff UA caters domestically. :p
