Any clue what type of purchase one can make on an Indian travel site for 3,426.00 Indian rupies (~$75)? I can't think of any reason why I'd shop there and not recognize it. I'm glad AMEX fraud detection is on top of that.
I was trekking in Nepal once when I ran into a herd of yatra. But yeah, India would probably be a bit too warm for them.
Apparently 5 transactions were made on my card. I contacted Yatra and they said they are for "confirmed rail travel" and therefore can't be refunded, even for fraud since they were "booked online, not over the phone." I guess Yatra doesn't care about people getting tickets fraudulently on their system. Unless the tickets have already been used, don't they have an incentive to cancel the bookings since they are fraudulent? AMEX should pull through.
