Hawaiian Airlines will start flying nonstop to Taipei, Taiwan this coming summer using an A330-200 configured to seat 294.

This is particularly welcome news since EVA has dropped this route (twice), ANA, JAL and China Airlines only fly it with a stop in Narita, and United has cancelled its Narita-Taipei service.

And here's an interesting observation... Taiwan is genetically Polynesian, so it's logical Hawaiian should fly there: http://blog.sfgate.com/hawaii/2012/...ghts-to-genetically-polynesian-island-taiwan/
