It will be reissued as a BankAmericard Cash Rewards card.

I haven't received a written notice yet, but just reporting on a chat I had with a rep.

    :(

I just checked the site and the card is no longer offered by BofA or Bank of Hawaii

I'd better check my safe to make sure it's still there.

Is the Cash Rewards card any good?

They took it off the BofA site a while ago (a few weeks).

Better combine all the HA miles I can Into one account since that was one of the best features of that card and in some respects unique for airline loyalty cards.

On a side note HA just announced that one can now redeem HA miles for AA awards.
Additionally its quite interesting to see that these awards required more HA miles than the corresponding Skypesos awards.:D

Good point. Though who knows how long they'll let you continue to earn Hawaiian miles.

I wonder what will become of my Bank of Hawaii HA Visa? It's the same as BoA but for Hawaii residents. Still serviced by FIA...I wouldn't mind the regular Visa BoH offers; I'm tired of paying the AF since I moved all my travel purchases to my CSP.

I'll have to use my Amex Gold card a lot more, unless Hawaiian partners with another bank here on the Mainland. I have never been fond of BofA. Wonder if my Alaska Airlines card will be converted too?

There's some discussion about the HA credit cards on FT.

I think at this point they are in transition.

The AS card is still available on BofA's and AS's websites, so I don't think it's going anywhere.

I just received my renewal card from BofA. Nothing seems to have changed.

Hoping that the card doesn't go anywhere. Having it reduces the mileage required to redeem points. I've been using 17,500 miles vs. 20k for one way mainland/Hawaii travel.

Got the notice that the BofA Hawaiian card is history at the end of April. Hawaiian is switching to a Barclay's Bank "World Elite MasterCard". The card has the new chip in it for better security. Got a fat packet of informational paperwork. Seems the same miles earnings still apply. Starting in 2015, if you spend $10,000 or more in purchases, you'll get 5000 miles on your anniversary. The card is supposed to arrive any day now. To be activated on 4/28.

I got all that a few weeks ago. Two months after I canceled the BofA card. I sure hope Barclays isn't going to send me a card.
