Are you an early filer or do you wait until the last minute?
Filed in February, got the refunds already.
I e-filed on 4/15. Paid around $400.
Filed and paid next to last day,me-filed...
Next month County Property Taxes, good thing is no more FICA
I filed an extension .. that's .. filing something, right? So it counts?
There are just so many forms ...
Yes, but won't you pay a late fee?
You only pay a late fee if you owe. Which I won't. I'm mostly just letting them keep my money a bit longer.
Are you 100% sure about that? Doesn't the late filing fee apply to everyone? (Duh, you filed an extension! My bad!)
Yeah - I own a house, so the mortgage interest always saves my bacon. If you file an extension, you have to pay interest on what you owe (if you owe) but no late fee.
If you file for and extension you estimate your bill and send the money in, if not the bill you a late fee.
You still owe the money, you just get an extension on sending in the paperwork, not the amount due.
The State will also have their hand out..
Just stalked looked at dotgirl's profile. She's in Washington State, no state income taxes there.
Before I post again I will review all State Tax Laws, sorry for my error...
Please do not beat me with a wet noodle.
I was in Washington, this morning at 6:00 AM, and no one told me about the income tax, but the did hit me up for sales tax at a high rate
Easy there....not trying to thwap you with anything, just pointing out there's no state income tax there. Only reason I know is because I used to live there.
I live in Indiana, but did sleep at the SeaTec Hilton last night..
That is the only reason I know about the 12% tax, it was on the bill.
Nice area though,
I always file as soon as I can. Usually late January if inert all the documents I need.
We don't have them in FL either.
Just got back my 2012 tax sheet. For 2013 I've time till Dec 31st.
