    These items would have to be in checked luggage so my question is......

    Why weren't these weapons found and the pax at least questioned by the TSA leaving the U.S.? :rolleyes:

    I don't see the problem. If these items are in checked luggage and are not intended as a threat in any way why can't these be transported? People do collect swords and knives!

    The UK has some of the most restrictive legislation around on knives. I don't know all the details but easily discovered on-line. With relatively few guns (although growing), much of their violent crime involves knives.
