The winner earns the right to buy me a beer!
Looks like a Hyatt to me? Location, how about Kyoto, Japan...
Hyatt, yes. I can give you a clue, if you'd like.
There you go!
Now, that's a giveaway! How about Sydney then? Ha.
Excellent. I love coming here. I'll visit Perth, again, and Adelaide on this visit. It takes a long time go get here, but it's worth the trip.
P.S. You owe me a beer!
Now I'm in Perth, in the lounge-less Hilton.
The wireless connection is really slow.
Thanks for the images, was surprised to learn that this Hilton doesn't offer a lounge, I thought it's something of a standard to offer a lounge. Cheers. Safe travels.
I was too. There are some Hiltons without lounges; for example, the Hilton on O'Farrell in San Francisco. This Hilton seems to be another one without a lounge. :-(
Would be indeed very nice to see Executive Lounges as "brand standard" withing the Hilton main brand. Have a safe trip. Cheers.
I am now on Rottnest Island, where WiFi is free and good! Here's my taxi.
Maybe Über should get involved. I'd love to take a U Boat.
I also had orange juice (featured). I learned from the cap that about 100 people die each year from choking on ball point pens. Interesting.
Here's what all the fuss is about. The Dutch who landed on the island thought it was a rat. It's a small marsupial. They also thought being neutral in WWII was a good idea.
Thanks for your images, interesting knowledge too. Cheers.
Here is strange art found on a wall in Perth. I think I need to run back and photograph it again.
Chalkys in Fremantel, Western Australia. I was told a great story of Irish Fenians escaping to the US. I'll report back later.
Here's a link to that story:
Perth asked Britain for convicts to populate the area. They arrived before word was received that they were on the way. Dock-men put them temporarily in a warehouse. The bar/hotel on that site is now called the Bar and Chain.
The QANTAS business lounge in Perth. You get to make your own, hot sandwiches.
Here's a picture of a plane I won't be flying on.
It's raining out there.
