I was excited when EF alerted me that RN inventory had briefly opened up on the elusive SFO to SYD flight that I'm booked on in a couple of weeks. I'd been waitlisted for months, so I went to my UA Reservations page, ready to select a specific C seat. To my annoyance, I was still in Y class (on a B fare!) and now my waitlist request had been deleted! What to do? The RN inventory is no longer available. Do I have grounds to ask UA to open up a revenue seat for this booking due to their massive PSS inadequacies?
