GPU extension to Apr '14 for requalifyers

    Was told today to call last week of Dec/beginning of Jan to see if I qualified to have GPUs extended. I'm 1400 miles short of requalif but have trip booked that will put me over.

    I was able to get two GPUs extended until April 30, 2014, and I was told the criteria is 2014 1K requalification. With all of the recent cuts and devaluations to Mileage Plus, this is a very customer friendly move on the part of United and Mileage Plus and is to be commended.:)

    I got one extended and was told it wasn't linked to requalification...it was just an exception. Either way, got an extension.

    I'm all out of GPUs at the moment but I'm looking forward to the 6 that I shall receive shortly. :D

    I need to call in about mine. I earned six in Oct, but I still had four valid from last year and when I applied GPUs to new itins, it preferentially used my new ones and left the old ones in stock. This is mildly annoying and unfair, but I know I can call in and ask them to fix it. Simply swapping the eligibility dates without extensions would be fine.

    Yes, this is utterly unlike DL SM in a good way. One thing that UA does better than its competition. I was granted an April extension on two of my GPUs as well.

    It should have picked the oldest ones, if they were usable on the itineraries. You have to fly before the expiration dates, not just apply them before the exp date.

    If it didn't apply them correctly just contact MP Service Center and they will fix it.

    Called and told NO because I'm not a requalifier -right after I was told thanks for being a 2mm :(
