This should be an interesting new feature for people that use TripIt and the like.

The upcoming update to Google Calendar will now automatically import event information from gmail messages. This actually eliminates the middleman for people that send plans to TripIt or WorldMate, as long as you just use those programs for calendar integration.

If you opt-in, as soon as you get an email confirmation for a hotel, flight, restaurant, concert or game ticket, they will automatically show up on your calendar.

Google has been able to move Gmail to Google Calander for over a year.

Is this a new app, might save a few keystrokes.

I'm really looking forward to this! I'm concerned about functionality though. As gorgeous as it is, I quite like the current version for it's ease of use, and I hope it doesn't lose track of that simplicity.

If you follow more than 1 calendar, how do you specify which one it posts to?

In my case it automatically adds it to the calendar associated with my gmail account where the email came from. I have 6-7 calendars and it's always in the gmail.com one that they post to...
