    On December 18
American, Delta, United and TAAG will move all operations to Terminal 2 There will be no lounge for any of them until sometime "late 2013"
Sometime later in 2013, no date specified:
Aerolineas Argentinas, Air France, British, Copa, Iberia, KLM, LAN, TACA will all move to Terminal 1

    No change for:
Emirates, Lufthansa, TAM and TAP which already are in Terminal 2

In Terminal 1 will be Azul, Avianca and GOL. Left unstated is what will happen to GOL international flights, though it really is just the Santo Domingo, Miami flight at present anyway. Presumably that will operate from Terminal 1

All this is driven by the operators of customs and immigration, the PF, which has decided they want only one international terminal, not two. OK, they did it!

The transition is bound to be a trial for those on the presently affected airlines.

There is little official public information about this and most people, including so affected airline people are watching press reports. It is not a secret taht this was eventually to happen, thus lounges have been shutting down and reducing services. Lounge contract renewals (the lack thereof) have been the primary source for much of the information.

Now we all wait. The situation seems to be fluid.

US Airways is reporting that they'll be in Terminal 2 for arrival and departure today, as is UA. No surprise there.

Delta is operating out of Terminal 1 also, with no information available about the planned changes.

FWIW, TAAG flights to/from GIG are temprarily suspended because of "required maintenance" on the B777 they're using for the route. They just took delivery on a shiny new B77W which might be the replacement aircraft on this route, with GRU and GIG by far TAAG's busiest routes.
