BA is proposing a flight from LAX to MRS via London - arriving at Heathrow, then departing from Gatwick three hours later. This doesn't sound doable. Do any of you have experience/thoughts on this that you'd be willing to share with me?

    Thanks!

3 hours is definitely cutting it close for a LHR-LGW connection. Transportation is normally quite easy to find. Many shuttles operate frequently between the two airports. I personally would not book a 3 hour connection between two of the world's busiest airports.

    Let's do a play-by-play:
Arrival & Baggage Claim at LHR - est. 50 minutes (assuming an international flight)
Time to find a shuttle - est. 10 minutes
Shuttle Transit period - est. 1 1/2 hours (conservatively)
Check in at LGW - 30 minutes before flight-time (not enough)

I strongly suggest you find an alternative itinerary!
    Hope this helps...
