Just booked the following for 175K and $296 plus $30 phone in charge each and have all the seats selected except for TG which was closed:

    YYC - SFO UA F CR7
SFO - HKG SQ F 77W (No idea on the F lounge situation in HKG)
    HKG - BKK TG F 744
BKK - HDY TG J AB6 (Turnaround point in paradise)
HDY - BKK TG J AB6 (Stop for shopping )
BKK - HKG TG F 744 (BKK Spa here we come! ^)
HKG - ICN OZ J 333 (Not sure what the F lounge is like here)
ICN - SFO SQ F 77W (Hate the United domestic lounge at SFO)
    SFO - YYC UA F CR7

Looking forward to trying SQ. Avoided the Atlantic to get away from the uncertainty of last minute LH/LX F lotto and their surcharges. Still happy with our AE mile value considering a Y flight from YYC-HDY is close to $2K...

P.S. First AE CS person told us half of what we found wasn't available. Immediate call back and this person knew what they were doing and got 'er done. ^ Classic example of the callback rule. :)

They've merged the J and F lounge in HKG.

    SQ does JFK-FRA and IAH-DME

I'm not following you on this point GHT? Not a surprise as my brain is mush after that booking marathon we did today to find a cheap working F trip to our usual haunt.

You said "Avoided the Atlantic to get away from the uncertainty of last minute LH/LX F lotto and their surcharges," but you can fly over the Atlantic with SQ and avoid YQ.

P.S. Which lounge GHT or is there only one? Never been F through HKG. Usually go via FRA or NRT.

There is only 1 SQ lounge in HKG. Used to be separated, but after renovations got merged together.

Isn't the private room for all SIN F passengers and the First Class lounge is for *A First?

    But I may be wrong......

We'll be on SQ1 from SFO to HKG for 15 hours in the A380 suites. Can't wait to see what all the fuss is about! :D

Mrs. RoninTech and I were put in adjoining suites 3C and D so trying that big bed could be interesting. :)

At HKG: There is a separate sitting area at the very back of the facility for F/R customers. Otherwise all other spaces are shared. OZ also uses this lounge because it is generally closer to its gates than the UA or TG lounges.

At SIN: When the T3 opened, the F lounge had an area that was given entry only to fare-paying F (including now R) customers (not awards) and Solitaires. There was also a dining room open to all. Not sure how the access is given now. Business has access to the Silver Kris lounge. STARGolds not flying SQ have their own lounge further down from the two SQ ones in the main SQ T3 facility.

It will be interesting to see how this works out since it appears SQ has appears to have no separate award code for Suites, using the same R for revenue and award tickets. I booked the NRT routing for March with MP miles and got notification from UA last week that there was a change of class. However, UA's system read R as Business because that's its upgrade class. I was rather upset until I checked out the FT threads and remembered SQ uses R (as did BA for its Concorde bookings). Got the change of aircraft, and thus confirmation my flights were now on A380s and thus First Suites.

No, sorry, LH does, but LX can't be booked until the last minute. The SQ F/R awards were a temporary glitch in SQ's system that has since been closed. ANA tool shows SQ:
