    The American Express Premier Rewards Gold card has received a fairly significant upgrade for cardmembers as of June 1. Some of the new perks include 2X spending at U.S. restaurants and no foreign transaction fees. New Perks With The Amex Premier Rewards Card But, the biggest new deal is that the card now comes with $100 per calendar year in statement credits for airlines. This is very similar to the airline fee credit that is offered with the Amex Platinum card except it is $100 less than the Platinum card. Annual Airline Fee Credit That perk is great since it gives you the opportunity to offset $100 of the annual fee (which is $195 but waived the first year) and actually get quite a bit ahead of the fee itself.
