Here's a Sporcle quiz I made that I thought would be fun for us travel people. It gives you two flights and you have to say which of them, Flight A or Flight B, is the longest on a Great Circle map.

    Link to awesome fun quiz

Please post how you do -- I just released it and am trying to decide if it's too hard/easy and I'm curious how you guys (far smarter than the average quiz-taker when it comes to this I'd imagine) fare.

    Have fun!

14 out of 20. I'm pretty proud of myself. Most of that was just guessing on instinct. Thanks for creating the quiz!

I got 12 out of 20, and was lucky to get that many! Enjoyed that.

Still better than if your answers were simply random, at least on average.

I got 14 as well. My mental map is reasonable I suppose. I'd love for a US Air agent to take this quiz. ;)

I think it's funny that many of the airport choices are ones that are familiar with this crowd, but would be totally foreign to those not into miles and points.

    14/20 (with a 10-correct streak too :D)

The [MEX-SFO/ORD] and [EWR-BOM vs ORD-DEL] question really surprised me :O

Some of these were really hard, especially since I'm very unfamiliar with Latin America and only slightly unfamiliar with Europe

Thanks for taking it and the kind words guys. I'm surprised by the results right now, because I thought MEX-SFO vs. MEX-MDW was the diabolical one but right now that one's essentially 50/50 while ATL-DXB vs. IAD-PEK is only 30% right, despite being a 678 mile difference

    I got 18 out of 20 which isn't too bad considering :D.

Yeah, but how many of those routes have you flown? ;)
