My wife is going to be staying at a Hyatt on a business trip, on her own. She doesn't have a GP number because we've always stayed together. In an ideal world, she could use mine and credit the points and nights to my account. Is there a way to do that -- say, by putting us both on the reservation? Is this kosher?

Not sure with Hyatt, but I have done similar with PC.
Is there a GP number currently on the rez? If not, a phone call to add yours should do the trick.

In SPG, this would clearly be against the rules. The SPG member must stay in order to get any night/stay credits or to get SPG elite benefits.

  4. OTOH, you might be able to book the room with her as a second person. She checks in "first" with her credit card. Check out either via the TV, or leave without an actual check-out at the desk.
