Hi. I read somewhere airlines giving gold, elit etc. flyer club cards if the member wants to change/ transfer his membership to another one. For example if a have a thai basic member and ı accept to change it Turkish Airlines. They are offering gold (elit) membership? Is it true? Is there any other airlines and what are the rules?

HI normally match the status is granted only to those who already have an elite level with a company or who can document a high number of flights made in the short term.
you can find more information at statusmatcher.com

There's no "membership transfer", and nothing stopping you from being a member in many programs simultaneously. Airlines will, as a competitive measure, sometimes match elite status in another airline's program. Rules vary by carrier and situation.

With basic membership, you will not be eligible to match status, but you could call and ask if they would do a status challenge if you have a lot of upcoming flying planned.
