Over here, the citizens hopes that the retirement age is extended so that we can work longer to save for the eventual retirement
Do note we do not get retirement benefits / pension from the society
To me/us, every year extended is a year more to accumulate savings and delaying the inevitable draw-down on the savings.
Current retirement age is 65
This of course is not comparable to a system where you get paid a pension on retirement like France
That case, every additional year has little incentive to the (average) individual
