I’ve become increasingly addicted to Skype (for Android phones) and hence eager to find free WiFi access as soon as I land. Has free WiFi access at Airports been discussed somewhere or is there some compilation of information somewhere that I can be pointed at?

My understanding is that there are quite some big differences between European countries and providers (even in and between lounges), for instance Swiss airports generally offer one hour free WiFi access (provided by Swisscom), but what about other European countries? It’s primarily Int’l airports in those countries I am seeking information on, but obviously, I would also be interested in some kind of compilation of free WiFi access in countries outside Europe. Has this been done before?

    At least I know:

AMS know has free one hour (have not tried it yet though)
PRG has free (although very very flaky at best)
DUB new T2...well, if you have the access code from the lounge, it can be used all over :)

This is another important issue - this kind of very relevant information can help in the decision making if one considers to log in and make IP calls...

Once logged in it's OK.....just getting logged is the tough part.

Service in the lounges though is good.

CDG has free wifi for 15 minutes. You have to pay after that.

Definitely agree with the flaky comment. It is free, though.
