I stayed at this hotel by myself on business in March 2012. The hotel is located out of the centre of Shanghai, a few stops on line 1 of the subway. It is just north of Yanchang Rd station, located inside (towards the back, away from the main road) a modern shopping centre. Checking into the hotel was fairly quick. They offered all the standard benefits and quickly got me up to my room. I was upgraded to a suite on the 11th floor and chose 250 points as my amenity (there is a Starbucks across the street for breakfast -certainly adequate for just me) The good: -nice upgrade -the hotel is nice and clean -the room was bright with good views -the location inside a shopping centre makes it very convenient (restaurants, coffee shops, supermarket, etc. very close) -close (5m walk) to subway -the room was very quiet, despite noisy guests in corridors (couldn't hear them until I went out) -nice firm bed -great shower -couple of bottles of complimentary water (much appreciated) The bad -some of the furniture is a bit worn -one of the TVs had fuzzy reception -not in the centre of Shanghai Overall I really liked this hotel, and would definitely consider it for a future business stay. For visitors to the city, however, it's probably better to stay nearer the centre.
