Former President APJ Abdul Kalam frisked twice at JFK in breech of protocol

    This is quite bizarre, especially for an airport that deals with many foreign dignitaries. I'm pretty sure it will emerge that these were TSA goons deployed to the jetway who frisked the president twice - once before boarding and then after the doors were closed, forcing the crew to reopen them so that they could board and frisk him again. They also took away his shoes and jacket for further analysis. Rather undignified treatment for a gentleman of Mr. Abdul Kalam's status, especially as similar security blunders have occurred with the former president in the past - most famously, Continental Airlines refusal to exempt him from additional frisking at DEL a couple of years ago
