Overview: A rather large upper-mid-scale, moderately hip, conference hotel directly on Miami Beach, trying to be like Vegas
    Strengths: Dining, location
Drawbacks: Size of property, conference hotel, no points program
Earlier this month, I stayed at the Fontainebleau Hotel on Miami Beach for several nights as part of a business trip. The hotel is solidly “OK.” While I wouldn’t go out of my way to stay here again nor would I explicitly recommend it, I wouldn’t object to returning here, either. Here’s why…

Same here... I stayed here for 3 nights back in 2010 and vowed never again. :)

The location is alright if you don't want to be in the middle of the crowd, but overall it felt really cheap and in need of renovation. The area is really inconvenient if you want to do anything though... your only options for food nearby are a pizzeria a couple of blocks away IIRC.

Were you there for a conference? Or was this pure leisure?
