USA Today: A business travel nightmare - Flying to the wrong city

Whoops...fortunately, I have not had this happen! Although I have booked flights on the wrong day before!

    :)

I had a colleague who was flying to Jackson, Michigan and woke up in Jackson, Mississippi. Oops.

For me, I'm always worried I'm going to get MCI and MCO mixed up someday.

Twice I have read a news report that a traveller ended up in Sydney Nova Scotia instead of Sydney in Oz.

I actually know a person that went to Ontario California while trying to visit a friend in Ontario-that-is-not-even-a-city.

And add in San Juan, Puerto Rico into the mix. SJC, SJO, SJU.

Long been stories about Lafayette, Louisiana and Lafayette, Indiana. Best I have heard of is someone (supposedly) was flying from LAX to AKL. Wound up going to OAK. Auckland and Oakland may sound alike, but there is a big difference.

Buddy of mine, a violist, naturally, asked to go to Fayetteville, AR and
was ticketed by US to go to Fayetteville, NC. Of course being a violist
she didn't catch this either until she arrived for her connection at CLT.
Luckily, the XNA flight hadn't gone yet and had seats.
