A flight attendant who was about to board a plane at Blue Grass Airport was arrested Tuesday night after police said she was drunk with a .258 alcohol level.

Airport officials said Nancy Bray, 59, was an attendant for Delta Airlines.

She was arrested and charged for being an aircrew member under the influence and for having possession of a controlled substance not in its original container.

Never good to suddenly become unemployed at age 59. Probably a sad back story.

Thanks for posting, sobore! And I'm just happy to learn that the intoxicated air crew member wasn't the pilot! ;)

The legal limit for intoxication is .08 in most states (I believe), so that's over 3 times the limit.

For pilots, the legal limit is 0.04% (and other factors like time since consumption) but no idea what FAA regs say about FA's. On the other hand, I suppose the airlines have their own policies as well.

Sad indeed. At first it's personal and than it's thrown at us into the limelight. It's all about awareness, but hopefully someone will care too.

    1. She was arrested as "she was about to board the plane".

    2. Lexington, KENTUCKY! Home of Bourbon and other assorted sipping whiskeys.

    3. Conclusion: She probably didn't get to MSYgirl's champagne as she might have tested the bourbons on the ground before trying to stagger onto the jetway. And does Lexington have mainline flights or just the junglejets, in which case there may not have been champagne available for MSYgirl anyway.

She can have them. I get in trouble with bourbon and whiskey.

That's probably because Mr. Dang only flies mainline upper deck first classily.

And MSYgirl, I thought you knew better then to mix bourbon AND whiskey. ;)

....as is objectivity and in the eye of the beholder.

(What did I say in that line directly above?) I'd better stop at this point or some reference will be made to Denver.

I suspect it is the same, as that is the number for controllers as well.
