Fliers’ ire forces Jet to roll back its no-meat rule

    After drawing flak from air passengers for banning meat, fish and poultry products in check-in baggage, Jet Airways has revised its policy. The airline said, on Monday, that it would allow passengers to carry meat products in check-in baggage provided the items are packed properly.

    The statement added that carriage of “improperly packed perishable food items, in normal ice or liquids in containers that are susceptible to spillage or seepage” would not be allowed.
